Course Objectives: 
To train and assess persons who are to be appointed as Electrical Systems Officers under the FIA Sporting Regulations and the IMechE Formula Student EV Safety Rules in their roles and responsibilities as Electrical Systems Officers (Level 3E) to ensure that they possess the necessary knowledge, skill and competence to carry out this role. 
 
On completion of the course, delegates should know, understand and have proven their knowledge and understanding of: 
 
Dangers of electricity and requirements for working safely on Live systems 
Arc Flash – Understanding the potential dangers, incident energy levels and PPE requirements (reference to NFPA70E) 
Their personal and corporate legislative responsibilities 
Their responsibilities under the FIA Sporting Regulations and the IMechE Formula Student EV Safety Rules applicable to their level of authorisation 
The responsibilities of document recipients and members of a work party
