HTM 06-03 HV Authorised Person Course

Course membership:
The course is designed for persons who will require knowledge, competence and experience to operate and/or work on high and low voltage electrical systems and who ultimately will need to be Authorised in accordance with the HTM 06-02/03)
Course Objectives:
At the end of this ten-day course delegates will be able to: -
Gain an underpinning technical knowledge appropriate for operations and work on High Voltage and Low Voltage networks
Demonstrate a high level of practical performance whilst safely operating HV and LV switchgear
Apply HTM 06-02/03 for working on HV and LV systems, which will include: -
Preparation of Safety Programmes
Preparation issue and receipt of Safety Documents
Identify dangers that may arise from the system/work using: -
Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Safe Working Procedures
Isolation
Earthing
Demonstrate a level of confidence and approach to the management of safety systems required when working on HV and LV systems.
Gain safe access to substations and switch-rooms and to carryout risk assessments, identify hazards prior to entry and work in such enclosures.
Course Delivery:
The course will provide a mix of theoretical and practical exercises to reinforce the learning outcomes delivered.
