EV Informed Person
The Informed Person training course will review the safety implications when accessing environments where electric vehicles, powertrain systems, or battery systems are being developed, constructed, or maintained.
This course is aimed at those who are new to EV technology looking to understand the basics and how to stay safe.
EV Competent Person
The EV Competent Person training course will introduce the preferred principles and working practices for work on HV powertrain systems that are made dead and isolated from all forms of electrical supply.
Learners will be able to receive safety documentation and confirm the system is electrically dead at the point of work.
EV Authorised Person
The EV Authorised Person training course will introduce the preferred principles and working practices of safe electrical isolation for work on Hazardous Voltage powertrain systems. Learners will be able to risk assess, issue safety documentation, and supervise Competent Persons working on Hazardous Voltage Systems.
EV Senior Authorised Person
The EV Senior Authorised Person training course will introduce the preferred principles and working practices for exploratory and Live Working activities on Hazardous Voltage powertrain systems. Learners will be able to risk assess systems, select appropriate control measures including PPE, prepare Safe Systems of Work, and issue safety documentation to enable high-risk work activities to be completed safely.
Battery System Competent Person
The Battery System Competent Person training course will introduce the preferred principles and working practices for Live Working activities on Battery System modules during assembly. Learners will be able to follow a risk assessment, implement appropriate control measures including PPE, follow a Safe System of Work and receive safety documentation to enable high-risk work activities to be completed safely.
Battery System Senior Authorised Person
The Battery System Senior Authorised Person training course will introduce the preferred principles and working practices for Live Working activities on Hazardous Voltage Battery Systems. Learners will be able to risk assess systems, select appropriate control measures including PPE, prepare Safe Systems of Work, and issue safety documentation to enable high-risk work activities to be completed safely.
EV & Battery System Senior Authorised Person (Combined)
A combined electric vehicle and Battery System Senior Authorised Person Training course for individuals who will work across a wide selection of EV and Battery Systems. Learners will be able to risk assess systems, select appropriate control measures including PPE, prepare Safe Systems of Work, and issue safety documentation to enable high-risk work activities to be completed safely.
Test Cell Authorised and Senior Authorised Person Training
These training programmes are designed to equip learners with the skills to safely work in testing and validation environments with prototype components. The course covers the aspects of making equipment safe to work on during the test cycle and when to apply Live Working practices required for taking measurements.
Formula Student Electrical Systems Officer Course
The Formula Student ESO training course will introduce the preferred principles and working practices for working on prototype formula student powertrains and vehicle platforms. Students will be given the opportunity to learn the theoretical principles of working with these systems safely and practical exercises on Hazardous Voltage Systems.
Formula E Competitor Safety Training (Part 1)

The Formula E Electrical Competitor Safety Training Course complies with the FIA Formula E Sporting Regulations which requires competitors to undertake electric vehicle training aligned as equivalent to DGUV 209-093.
This course teaches the skills reqired to work alongside high voltage powertrain and battery systems.
