Battery System Senior Authorised Person Training Course

Course Membership: 
Persons who are required to carry out the following types of work activities on Energy Storage Systems: 
Work - Assemble / dismantle, fault find and component examination / evaluation 
Research and development testing (functional testing) 
Diagnostic testing 
Fault diagnosis and rectification 
Responding to critical battery conditions 
 
Course Objectives: 
Persons will be trained to become authorised to work on Energy Storage Systems operating at hazardous voltages, to ensure that they possess the necessary knowledge, skill and competence to complete work and testing activities. 
 
On completion of the course, delegates will: 
Have proven knowledge and understanding of the following: 
Risks associated with working on Energy Storage Systems 
Legal requirements for working on electrical systems, company, and personal responsibilities 
Responsibilities of 'Person in Charge' and members of a work / test party 
Risk Assessment procedures 
Procedures for preparation and approval of Method Statements / Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) 
Safe working and testing practices for the disassembly and assembly of Energy Storage Systems 
Use of approved tools, equipment and PPE 
Functional and diagnotic testing 
Emergency procedures
