Course Objectives

To train selected persons to be trained and authorised to work on EV Systems and Energy Storage Systems operating at hazardous voltages to ensure that they possess the necessary knowledge, skill and competence to complete work and testing activities.

Upon completion of the course delegates will have proven their knowledge and understanding of the following

Risks associated with working on EV Systems and Energy Storage Systems

Legal requirements for working on electrical systems, company, and personal responsibilities

Responsibilities of ‘Person-in-Charge’ and members of a work/test party

Risk Assessment procedures

Procedures for preparation and approval of Method Statements/Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)

Safe working and testing practices for the disassembly and assembly of Energy Storage Systems

Use of approved tools, equipment, and PPE

Functional and diagnostic testing

Emergency procedures
