Course Objectives
To train and assess persons who are to be appointed as an ES Senior Authorised Person (ES SAP) in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety policy and procedures for their roles and responsibilities as an ES SAP to ensure that they possess the necessary knowledge, skills and competence to carry out this role.

The responsibilities of ES Informed Person, ES Authorised and ES Senior Authorised Persons
Dangers associated with Electrical Systems
Arc Flash – Understanding the potential dangers, incident energy levels and PPE requirements (reference to NFPA70E)
Personal and corporate legislative responsibilities
Responsibility of Person-in-Charge, Working Party Members and Accompanying Safety Person
Energy Storage System fundamentals
Risk Assessment procedures and the preparation of Safe Systems of Work
Safe working on Live Hazardous Voltage Systems
Preparation and issue of Testing and Live Work Safety Documents
Personal Protective Equipment requirements as part of a Safe System of Work
